This 446 ft waterfall is quite the sight to behold...and lucky me, I live close enough to visit every day if I so desire! Located 13 miles north of Hilo, and 5 miles mauka of Honomu, I love coming to this amazing place. |

Going to Green Sands is like going to the Moon...Strange land formations abound in this area. The land turns from lava and jungle to prairie grass lands bordering the ocean. Which give way to almost dune-like roads...and then appears an eroding cinder cone filled with olivine (peridot) crystal...The erosion of this cone is how Green Sand Beach was formed. Gorgeous! |

This waterfall is just below my house, and I hear the rushing water constantly thoughout day and night. Such a soothing effect... |

Onomea Bay is a little bay off the beaten path of the Big Island of Hawaii. A little windy 4 mile drive takes you over wooden bridges, through small neighborhoods, and lush jungle trees, and leads you to a beautiful botanical garden. And from there it's a short walk to the beautiful Onomea Bay. Originally one of the first trading ports, this small hidden bay was a gem to see on this beautiful sunny Sunday drive. |

South Point...hmmm... what can I say...it's the southernmost tip of the southernmost state in the Union... The energy here is sooo different than the rest of the island as is the landscape. And the water....the BLUE! Breathtaking. |

This place was amazing! I camped out here and woke to my first sunrise on the island. EPIC! |
