After a 6 month journey living in Hawaii, coming back to the Mainland for a wonderfully full festival summer and a hard-working Fall, I have created a studio of my own, in lovely Eureka California, in Humboldt County. The North Coast of California has proven to be inspiring for my camera eye. The redwoods, the ocean...about as Paradise as Hawaii is to me. I can't wait to see what happens!

The rains that came in the winter of 2004/05 to the Southwestern US caused devastation in some places, but extraordinary beauty in others. These pictures came from a rest stop we found in Arizona after leaving Tucson in Feb of 2005.

These elk are part of a herd of about 50 or 60 that hang out along Hwy 101 between Orick and Arcata. It is considered the largest elk herd in the world.
