Arches National Park, UtahPosted by Nick Carlson on 6/26/2006Me and my friend Jon took a road trip around the southwest and hit three National Parks. I have always wanted to see the arches in person in Arches National Park. They are absolutely stunning! This gallery will contain sub-pages with different parts of this beautiful national park.

I took these shots during a ranger-guided hike through an area in Arches National Park known as the "Fiery Furnace." It got its name because of the golden light that hits the rock walls in the late afternoon. It was actually the coolest and shadiest area of the whole national park. |

All of these shots were taken impulsively, while in awe, rolling by these massive landforms. |

Thses shots were taken from a different perspective that the average tourist sees. We veered off the trail and ended up here. Carrying all my photographic equipment including my heavy tripod made this hike strenuous, but well worth it. |
